voh subaha kabhi to aayegi

      What you see in the picture above is an old brief case of mine; I purchased it some time in the early noughties. Though the wear and tear over the years are very much obvious it is still in active service.
At a very critical juncture in the year 2004 this fellow did a disappearing trick; that was minutes before I was to present a case in the kerala high court which I had decided to plead myself.  And I had my case files in the brief case.
Interestingly, during the hearing the judge asked me whether I had the case files with me ! why ?  whether the files were with me or not was going to affect the presentation any way for the whole petition was my own handiwork and i could recollect every point i had to elaborate on. But that was not "the point".  Incidentally, unlike every one of my many other personal possessions that went missing in those days, this one was returned to me - nothing else ever came out of the blackhole.  There is a reason; can you make a guess ?
As is evident from the picture above the brief case is still with me even after more than ten years.  And I had been carrying it along with me over all these years; but except for that one instance it never did go missing. how come ?
because there was no need to repeat the performance – the aim has already been "achieved" !  my dear gestapi, that is just another of your illusions - you managed to get a temporary lease of life that is all.

       Below you see the photographs of the my still older brief cases, all three of them, which i have purchased over a life time.

      None of them ever went missing. obviously what happened in the ernakulam railway station was an aberration.

      No more in active service, I put them to mundane uses - in one I have my electrical and mechanical tools, in the second are the users manuals of the equipments I purchased and in the third I have the writing materials.

the crowning glory of it all:
the bloody bed-sheet of the year 2003.

The above again is an aberration - an isolated instance of a “bleeding diathesis” I had ever suffered!
This sort of things should never have happened in a civilized society.
If the culprits are still at large even after tremendous efforts on my part the full credit should go to the highly “intelligent” and "co-operative" members of the higher judiciary of this country – nauseating I would say.

All the same I have not given up; and that is why I am still preserving the bedsheet as it is.  As long as there is life there is hope;
